There really isn't a flowing stream per se, but there are lots of small puddles in the grass below the " Big Tree" 2002-08-03 Super Chicken 2002-08-04 Mineshaft Flat (.3 miles down trail) The spring that is .3 miles below the camp is flowing. It is not gushing by any means, but there are puddles deep enough to filter from. A previous post mentioned not seeing the spring so I will note where I found it. Head toward big tree, after about .2 miles there is a couple of small switchbacks. On a switchback that you turn right, there will almost immediately be a little trail to the left. The small rock cairn may still be there later. Turn on that little trail, go down about 15 paces, you will see a where some people have walked a couple steps into some small bushes. In there is a small spring slowing so-so, most is going into the ground, but plenty to filter from 2002-08-04 Super Chicken 2002-08-04 Fish Creek The creek is very small where it crosses the trail about .3 miles up from the camp. did not see any water near the campsite. 2002-08-04 Super Chicken 2002-08-05 Alger TrailCamp Ditto what Matt said...Flowing well. 2002-07-28 Ed 2002-08-05 Dobbs Trailcamp Lots of water....good flow. 2002-07-28 Ed 2002-08-05 Saxton Trailcamp (.2 mi.west) Reliable 2nd hand info - Good flow. 2002-07-27 Ed 2002-08-12 Alger TrailCamp Water flowing great 2002-08-11 Ren N Stimpy 2002-08-12 Dobbs Trailcamp Lots of water in both creeks 2002-08-11 Ren N Stimpy 2002-08-13 Limber Pine (.3 mi.west) Barely flowing for shallow pools to allow slow filtering. 2002-08-11 John 2002-08-13 Saxton Trailcamp (.2 mi.west) Great flow, more water available 45 min. up trail too 2002-08-10 Kevin 2002-08-15 High Creek Trailcamp Good - creek about 1 foot wide 2002-08-10 Paul Goymerac 2002-08-18 Johns Meadow Good 2002-08-18 MJ 2002-08-18 Columbine Dry 2002-08-18 MJ 2002-08-19 High Creek Trailcamp Decent clear flow for filtering, 1-2 ft wide 2002-08-18 Kris 2002-08-19 High Creek Trailcamp No problems filtering water, but you can't see creek from main trail 2002-08-18 Dave 2002-08-19 Vivian Trailcamp Lots of water in Vivian Creek. Sounded like best plan was to do the settle in a bucket thing as the flow is slow 2002-09-07 AstroZomby 2002-09-08 Dobbs Trailcamp Good flow at both creeks 2002-09-08 Bob R 2002-09-08 Alger TrailCamp good flow in creek at trail crossing above campsite 2002-09-08 Bob R 2002-09-16 Johns Meadow Amazingly plenty of water.
